Julie Speer

Julie has served as a member of the Saint Mary Academy family since 2017. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky, Master’s Degree in Education with a Literacy Endorsement from Bellarmine University, and Educational Specialist Degree in School Leadership and Administration from Bellarmine University. 

Julie began her teaching career at St. Athanasius School where she taught 4th and 5th grades for a total of six years. At SMA, she served four years as Assistant Principal, one year as interim principal, and returned to the Assistant Principal role for one year prior to transitioning into her current role as Director of Communications and K-8 Admissions.
 
Julie enjoys reading, staying active, UL sports, and most of all, spending time with her husband, Tyler,  and their three sons. Julie is originally from Michigan where much of her extended family resides, but she grew up in Louisville where she attended St. Albert the Great School and Assumption High School.
